Gabriel Von Ursus was born in Hungary in 1936. In 1981 he started to paint and within a short number of years was painting full time. His unique paintings painted in the best tradition of Neo-Expressionism always have a deep undercurrent of social and psychological statement with deep sensual roots.In 1992 Gabriel exhibited his work in New York City and was featured on the cover of the prestigious arts magazine ARTSPEAK. He is respected by critics and collectors as an artist of International stature with something important to say. His works can be found in collections in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, New York City, California, Arkansas,and other American states. As well his work is also found in collections throughout Canada from Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
